Volume 1
Thank you for a fantastic start to the summer season! It has been wonderful to see the Madison Community Pool filled with activity, laughter, and community spirit during our opening weekends.
We've already enjoyed several successful poolside events, including the launch of our weekly Cornhole League (still open for signups), a senior citizen potluck brunch, and complimentary hot chocolate and root beer floats for members. These gatherings remind us that the pool is more than just a place to swim, but it is also a place to connect with neighbors and create lasting summer memories.
As we head into the heart of the season, we have a few important updates, reminders, and exciting programs to share. All of this information can also be found on our pool calendar, available at MadisonPool.org.
Our regular weekday summer schedule starts June 22nd and includes:
Lap Swim 6:00 AM – 8:00 AM
Baby Pool Open 10:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Open Swim 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Adult Swim 2:30 PM – 3:00 PM
If you have not already done so, please read the updated Madison Community Pool Code of Conduct available here. Some important reminders we want to highlight include:
Guest Policy Reminder: We're glad to see members enjoying the pool with family and friends! Please remember that guest passes must be purchased at the gate on the day of entry. Guest visits are limited to:
Madison resident guests: up to 3 visits per season
Non-resident guests: up to 10 visits per season
All swimmers under the age of fourteen (14) must pass the deep-water test to access deep water areas, including the dive well. Deep-water wristbands/bracelets are issued only to swimmers who have successfully completed the deep-water test. Wristbands are non-transferable and may not be shared, exchanged, or worn by anyone who has not passed the test. Replacement wristbands for lost or misplaced bands will incur a $5 replacement charge.
To better align with previous years, we have adjusted the deep-water test (DWT) and retake process. Deep-water tests are conducted daily at 1pm, 3pm, and 5pm.
For the 2026 season, parents or guardians may sign a waiver (found here) permitting their children ages 10–13 to visit the pool without a supervising adult if the child has successfully passed the deep-water test. Parental presence is still strongly encouraged. The waiver can be completed prior to your visit and will be applied after your child successfully completes the deep-water test.
Personal speakers may not be used at a volume that disrupts the surrounding area and must remain in grassy areas AWAY from the pool deck.
In addition to our regularly scheduled deep-water tests, we will be offering a special Water Safety Instructors (WSIs) led deep-water test this Sunday at 1 p.m.
Following testing, our WSI members will be available to speak with parents about:
Skills their child needs to improve
Reasons their child did or did not pass the test
Recommended swim lesson placements
Free 5-minute WSI-led swim evaluations
We will be offering short free private and group swim evaluations from after the 1 p.m. Deep-water test until 3 p.m., on a first-come, first-served basis (sign-ups at the gate).
These sessions provide families with personalized feedback on their child’s current swim skill level.
Families may choose:
Private evaluation
Group evaluation
Both
This is a great opportunity to determine the best learning environment for your swimmer.
